Gratitude is a extraordinary energy that brings inner satisfaction and an immeasurable sense of self-esteem. Gratitude towards ourselves and the changes we have made in order to acheive greater inner peace deserve to be recognized by us. We often feel obliged to be grateful towards others or towards external situations, but we forget to be thankful towards ourselves, for the actions taken and the efforts made in our own growth. Gratitude dissolves stress, anxiety and the need for performance, quiets the mind and relaxes the entire nervous system. When our thoughts are filled with gratitude for ourselves and the way we can transform “negative” experiences into gratitude, when we can process our feelings and our thoughts with feelings of gratitude, the power of love radiates outward from us into our environment and becomes a source of well-being and lightness for all those around us.
